|District 5 Weekly Newsletter|
July 1, 2022
Happy Friday to you and your family! I hope that you have exciting plans for the upcoming 4th of July weekend. Yesterday, I announced that the NAACP DeKalb County Branch and Decatur Cooperative Ministry have officially received their funding to provide rental, utility, and relocation assistance for those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. If you are in need or know someone who is in need of assistance, please click here to apply.
I am also excited to announce that I have partnered with the South DeKalb YMCA and The Swem School to sponsor the Summer Swimming Programs for our Seniors in the 5th District! There is more information listed below. To register, please click here.
If you have not already, please view our “District 5 Over the Years Report,” highlighting legislation, allocations, constituent services, and special events over the years. You will also find a toolkit on how to get involved with our community efforts. Feel free to download the annual report to your phone, iPad, or computer as a resource.
Please share this resource newsletter with your family, friends, and neighbors. Have a fantastic weekend — and don’t forget to wear your mask and “Get Vaxxed DeKalb”!
Yours in service,
