Janae Harris

Janae Harris, a current student of Kennesaw State University with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice loading for Spring of 2023, has joined the staff in hopes of becoming a resource for those who feel that they need a voice or direction in the programs or services of their local community. Janae was raised with a heart for service, to assist those who need it, to be a leader to the unguided, and to provide true and reliable information for those who need answers. Janae gained a desire for public service at an early age as she worked for a non-profit, family crisis center that provided early-youth suicide prevention programs, drug addiction and mental health intervention/counseling, referral services and treatment. Her experiences allowed her the opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to the needs of her community and to deeply connect with those who experienced crippling struggles of life.

Janae plans continue her education after completing her undergraduate degree to focus on more effective rehabilitation methods in the criminal justice system nationally and internationally. She intends to enhance her understanding of government and public service during her time in the District 5 office.

The work has just began for her but she is eager, curious, and ready to be an advocate for the community.
