The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) is seeking owner/resident input on the proposed construction of noise barriers for the Interstate (I)-285/I-20 East Interchange construction project. The noise wall voting packet was mailed to all benefited receptors in late January and voting has begun!
Please note the following:
- Votes can only be applied to noise barriers at impacted properties.
- Georgia DOT can only count votes that are received and cannot assume support or opposition to noise barrier construction.
- For a noise barrier to be constructed, the majority of those voting must vote yes. If the majority of those voting vote no, a noise barrier would not be constructed.
Again, if you reside at, or own, an impacted property and have received a voting packet, please return the paper ballot by mail or vote online by March 1, 2024.
Thank you for your participation.
